Why should you attend?
The huge production potential of the modern layer can make this new bird increasingly vulnerable to disease and performance issues, so we as a practice have been involved in developing practical and easy strategies to help you as farmers maximise this potential and get the very best out of your flocks. For example, we work with over 40 free range farms who have successfully produced multiple laying flocks with low mortality and good performance over 100 weeks of age.
St David’s Poultry Team recognises and understands the current and the future challenges facing the layer industry. We are hands on vets with a passion for what we do and with the knowledge and experience to help you with challenges that may impact on the performance of your birds and the productivity of your flock. We find long-term and cost-effective solutions which work for you and not just short-term fixes.

St David’s Poultry Team Clinical Director for Ireland Aonghus Lane said “As a practice we are not just vets, we are advisors who want to ensure that our customers are as successful as possible in bird health and welfare, achieving high levels of performance and profitability. I’m looking forward to getting together with others from the industry to share knowledge and experiences, as well as to discuss the future direction and opportunities of egg production.”
